Following an in depth and wide ranging consultation exercise with Paul the psychic octopus we’ve decided to upgrade our servers.
The upgrade will be happening over this weekend (18-18th of July) and as the new servers are being housed in our existing datacentre it shouldn’t (fingers crossed) result in any downtime.
To be honest we’ve not been suffering from any problems with our current server array but August will see the launch of our new print on demand merchandising services. In addition to selling the usual t-shirt printing, poster printing, etc our new systems will allow the creative types to sell MP3s, Photos, software, etc. Obviously this will involve a huge amount more traffic through our servers. We anticipate that the upgrades we are putting in place over this weekend will ensure a smooth experience for everyone but we’ll keep a close eye on things and add more servers should they be needed.
We’ll be releasing more details about our print on demand system when they come online.

Unfortunately the Icelandic Eyjafjallajoekull volcano eruptions are still causing havoc with European airspace. Unfortunately means that Royal Mail have suspended their UK special delivery services. International deliveries are also being affected with European deliveries being restricted to surface transport and the rest of world being suspended completely.
Our UK customers won’t be affected except that we are unable to send items via special delivery. Only our international t-shirt printing customers may notice a slight delay in their deliveries as our t-shirt printing packages are usually sent airmail.
Scottish airspace is currently being reopened which means that this whole thing will quite literally blow over in the next day or so.

Our 1ClickPrint survey is now over and we can exclusively reveal that the winner of the next election is…
The Queen with a massive 45.19% of the vote.
The rest of the results are: Labour 15.56%, Tory 14.81%, Lib Dem 12.59%, Other 11.85%.
We entered these results into the BBC swing-o-meter and this result leaves Labour with 5 seats and everyone else with no seats apart from the Queen who has a rather spaceous 645 seats to fill on her own.

We’ve had a few customers asking for more sizes in our poster printing range and, as you are all so important to us, we’ve added 40 inch x 30 inch posters to our gloss and matt ranges.
Many of our t-shirt printing trade customers use higher quality Gildan Ultra shirts instead of our standard steadman range. We are in the process of adding these gildan shirts to out online t-shirt printing systems. They are a little more costly to use but if you would like to use them before we add them to our web site please feel free to give us a call.

We’ve created a Flickr profile to act as a platform for our designer customers to show off their skills.
If you have a design you are proud of email it to jamie(at)1clickprint.com and we’ll add it to our feed with full credits and your contact details.
We’ll try to add as many designs as possible and you can submit as many designs as you like. Please don’t submit rubbish ones though.
We are especially interested in designs suitable for t-shirt printing.

Unfortunately we were unable to open our Sheffield branch yesterday. Our factory also had to close early and not courier or Royal Mail collections were made.
The good news is that the bad weather is now behind us and the roads have cleared. We are now open as usual for all of your printing needs.

Well, in a months time anyway.
The thing is that many people are tempted to hold off on their purchases until the new year. Whilst money is a little tight around christmas, and especially this year, people stand to make significant savings on their new year purchases by actually getting them sooner rather than later.

Our web servers suffered an outage from 5:30pm until 2:45 am on the 26th-27th of November. This was due to a power failure and backup generator failure in our data centre in stratford.
Sorry about any problems this caused our customers. Everything is now back up and running at peak efficiency. We’ve spanked the appropriate people who are very, very sorry.
