Just a very quick message to confirm that our services are all open as usual over the summer period.
Quite a lot of companies are lucky enough to have a summer shut down period. Our presses won’t even be pausing for breath.
T-Shirt printing is very busy during the warmer months so please remember to place your order as early as possible. If you do have a rush order all isn’t lost. We can usually squeeze out an order with as little as 24 hours notice.
Servers.
Our original estimate of zero downtime proved to be a little optimistic. In the end we suffered a couple of hours of actual downtime on late Sunday night with a few problems dancing around the system through Monday. We do now appear to be fully functional and the site is significantly faster.
Our t-shirt printing and canvas printing systems took a little more work to get online then we’d have hoped. Complexity is an unfortunate side effect of having our various systems integrated together. They are now also all tickety-boo.

Following an in depth and wide ranging consultation exercise with Paul the psychic octopus we’ve decided to upgrade our servers.
The upgrade will be happening over this weekend (18-18th of July) and as the new servers are being housed in our existing datacentre it shouldn’t (fingers crossed) result in any downtime.
To be honest we’ve not been suffering from any problems with our current server array but August will see the launch of our new print on demand merchandising services. In addition to selling the usual t-shirt printing, poster printing, etc our new systems will allow the creative types to sell MP3s, Photos, software, etc. Obviously this will involve a huge amount more traffic through our servers. We anticipate that the upgrades we are putting in place over this weekend will ensure a smooth experience for everyone but we’ll keep a close eye on things and add more servers should they be needed.
We’ll be releasing more details about our print on demand system when they come online.

Flyer printing has long been at the heart of our business here at 1ClickPrint. Back in 2004 we launched with prices so low that we literally changed the UK print market forever.
We’ve now gone one step further and introduced not 1, but 2 brand new flyer printing products.
First up are our new economy flyers. We’ve been testing these in our Sheffield branch for some and they’ve been very, very popular. They are our usual high print quality but on a lighter 250gsm stock and with a slightly longer turnaround. 5000 of these flyers is only £70 and that includes free delivery and no VAT to pay.
Next up we have the first of what we hope to be many green products. Our FSC certified premium flyer printing is on a massive 400gsm uncoated card and is really something to be proud of.

Royal Mail have reinstated their special delivery and airmail services and so all deliveries should be pretty much back to normal.
They are suggesting that people expect an extra day on some deliveries but, to be honest, we tend to assume that anyway when dispatching orders.
We didn’t experience and significant delays with our UK t-shirt printing orders and our overseas customers have been informed where they have been affected. Poster printing, flyer printing, leaflet printing, canvas printing, etc weren’t affected.
